CREATIVITY

Hi there my lovely people!!
How are you doing?
Around here we are having a few days with such beautiful weather and it has been quite dry, sunny and warm for the beginning of April.

And you know what? I don't know if it's due to this nice weather or because I feel better in myself when the days are long and brighter, my creativity

is very strong these days so, I am crocheting quite a lot among other things but crochet is the most I am doing.

Are you a crafty person?
I have always liked being around yarn, I found it very pleasing the whole process: while you are making the item or garment and then the satisfaction of the end result.

And what about enjoying yourself between lots of different yarns, colours, textures. .. aaah quite an experience 😉

And if it wasn't enough just the pleasure of crocheting or knitting adds its benefits and the whole thing becomes perfect.

~Reduces stress
~Eating disorder management

~Chronic pain management

~Improves memory 

~Positive impact on depression and anxiety

What I do know is that any activity involving yarn, weave, knitting, crochet. .. it is directly connected to our second or sacral chakra.

It's the energetic centre which holds our creativity, it make sense now, isn't it?

A FEW MOMENTS FROM MARCH

The most important thing of the last month of March was my little fairy girl turning three years, where has the time gone?!!!

It really is a pleasure seeing this little girl growing so free and wild, although some times it is really hard and difficult facing the different stages, the truth it's that it is so worth it and although I try my best on trusting her as an individual by not saying "be careful" all the time, there are times when I can't help it.

But everyday it's a joy and raising a child it gives so much pleasure and also lots of lessons.

So yes, my baby girl is growing. ..

March has been a good month, it has brought some celebration, lighter days and a few life lessons to make me grow, to make me face some issues from the past that needed to be let go.

BITS OF OUR HOLIDAYS

Hi there!!

How are you?

I just wanted to share a few moments with you through a few photos and words.

These are a couple of images from our Christmas day. We had presents in the morning, where the most happy one was Ilianna and a nice meal in the early afternoon.

It is nice sharing these days with family, there is a lot of good moments, laughing, memories. ... and sometimes there is words, memories or a simple meal that brings or causes an argument.

What do we do in that case?

Well, sometimes there is nothing that we can really do but accept that bizarre moment as it is and let it go without judgment.

Every time we are in Catalonia we like to collect our water from this spring water source, it's located in Arbúcies a beautiful little town only ten minutes away from my parents place.

Ilianna enjoys her playtime outdoors and it seems like she is not the only one enjoying :)

I have finally finished the Rainbow blanket I was making for my little fairy, she was happy and I am very pleased with the final result.

Remember to let behind what you don't want with you anymore  and take all what you still want for this New Year.

CROCHET MOOD BLANKET 2014

Hi everyone!! How are you doing lovely people? Hope everything is fine with you.

Yesterday was a lovely sunny day so, we decided to have a ride around and enjoy our Monday. We went through the Exmoor narrow roads and the view was more than beautiful. I couldn't resist to take some photos to these nice fellas just to caught how relaxed they were with the car's presence.

When we came back the Sun was still bright so we were able to chill out for a bit outside and this little fairy enjoyed herself out running around with sunglasses, what a funny little girl!!

hahahaha.....she is so funny lol!!

And it was when the day was nearly off and the little fairy in bed traveling around dreamland that I went to the sofa made myself comfortable and I finished my week number 10 of Crochet Mood blanket 2014 squares.

Today is Tuesday 11:45 am and the sun hasn't come out yet, hope it does some point during the day, if not... I will miss him a lot.

I am really into this lovely project but, I feel that it's time to introduce something different while I am crocheting the squares...maybe a bag for myself?? We'll see I have planned to visit the yarn shop today so, I will let you know.

CROCHET MOOD BLANKET 2014

Hi to everybody!!!! Hope all of you are doing well. It has been a bit of a long time since last time but, I have been a bit busy and though we are not settle yet we have changed our camp base.

This is where we are living at the minute while we are looking for the property we need.

It is a quite place at Somerset, not so far from Wells and Glastonbury and it makes me very happy being able to go to Glastonbury so often as it is a place that I really like, I couldn't live in there but I definitely love spending time around.

So though I am really looking forward to find our place and be settle, I am really enjoying this moment.

I will think about doing a post all about Glastonbury, we'll see...

But while enjoying I haven't forgotten my CMB 2014 project at all  and though some days I have need to rush to be able to crochet the 7 squares, I have done it!!

This was my ninth week so far

This are almost all my squares joined. To be honest, I am quite proud how my blanket is looking.

Well this is more or less all. Hope I can find more time to be around here with more news about all the bits of my life, until then take care and be very happy.

CROCHET MOOD BLANKET 2014

Hi darlings!! How are you doing? hope everything's ok. Is the weather ok where you are? Here has been quite awful to be honest, but it is what it is...

This morning was absolutely grey and damp, really bad and sad morning but by the afternoon the wind had blown some clouds away and we have been able to enjoy a lovely walk.

I could share some more nice moments that I have been able to catch with my camera, but today is Tuesday and Tuesday is the Crochet Mood Blanket 2014 post day so, let me tell you about my squares.

As you can see the two colours that I have used more are pink and purple, blessed and spiritual, those had been my main moods this week.

A COWL FOR MYSELF

Hi everyone!!! Hope you all are fine and enjoying the weekend, whatever you are doing.
As you know I have joined the Crochet Mood Blanket 2014 project and I am really enjoying it. And although I have chosen to make one square everyday, somedays I just feel crocheting more and maybe something different.

Weeks ago I bought this lovely and chunky yarn

It is really nice and soft and really easy to work with. 

After looking on http://www.pinterest.com for some inspiration, I decided to use the Back Loop Double Crochet stitch. I really like it and it looks great on the cowl.

I didn't relise that the photo wasn't bright enough, it doesn't show the colour properly, the dominant colour is purple, I love that colour, I can't have enough of it lol

And this is the result! I love it it is going to be great to keep myself warm in the more cold days.

Because I've still got plenty of this yarn left for another cowl, I have decided to make another one, bit this time I will try and knit it. I will show you the procedure and final result.

Here it has started rainy and a bit windy, so....we'll see what we do.

CROCHET MOOD BLANKET 2014

Hi to everyone!!
Are you all doing well? Hope this new year is treating you all very nice.
I am as my squares can reflect, something between blessed and upset, why? because I am spending my holidays in Catalonia, where I am from and where my family lives. I have spent nearly three weeks, (My God, time just flies!) and I feel upset about to leave (next Sunday)  and blessed about to return to the UK and to my lovely partner, who by the way, couldn't come with us due to health problems ( he is getting better now). Anyway, here is my first week of CROCHET MOOD BLANKET 2014 which in fact, has been made in Catalonia, maybe some more squares will be make in Catalonia along this year, but at the moment the next one and a few more will be coming from the lovely UK.

I started making the same pattern but then and inspired by Pinterest I decided to make some different patterns, just to make it more enjoyable.

And this is the result of my first week.

I really like them. This week I will introduce some new colours.

I am really excited about this project, I think it's lovely and I hope to be able to finish it, which I am sure I will.

CROCHET MOOD BLANKET 2014

Hi to everyone!! Hope everybody is doing really well. Here everything's fine, just my little girl has caught a cold so, lots of cuddles and mommy's milk.

I have started my first granny square

As you can see I have chosen green colour for my first square. If you have seen my last post, where I did show my colour list, I gave to the colour green the fertile mood. 

Why I have chosen to start with green? Because I feel that I want to get pregnant again. My little girl is 21 months old, I am 39 years old so, I feel for sure that now is the moment. 

So come on Fertility!!

And this is my first square done, ta-dah!!

I have decided that I will make one every day, seven per week, which I will share with you all on a weekly post, explaining the colour, the mood and my week.

I am looking forward to see all  of your post too, I am sure is going to be a nice project.

CROCHET MOOD BLANKET 2014

Hi to everyone!! How is the first day of 2014 going?

Though I am still not settle, I have decided and join the CROCHET MOOD BLANKET 2014.

I hope I can manage to post a granny square every week. At the moment I am sharing with you my colours and its moods.

Crochet hat

Hi there! 
Hope everybody is doing ok.

What is on your hook or needles going on?? Is there some, cowls, scarves or shawls for the first cold of the  season that we are just starting??

I have been crocheting a hat for my little girl, with the same colors as a used for the poncho ( you can see it at my last post)

I have made this hat with the Front post double crochet and Back post double crochet.

To be honest it was a bit hard at first, I really struggled with the 4 first rows to be exact, but after that it was very easy and amusing to do.

And this is the result. I think it has turned out very well, very proud of it hehe.... I am definitely going to  make another one for mr. A in his favorite color, green. I will post  about that one too.

At the moment that was my last crochet work, a hat for my little girl who by the way, doesn't keep absolutely nothing on her head. It's gonna be funny to try the hat on hahaha....

And now I would like to thank to all the nice ladies from some of the blogs that I follow for posting all about the Yarndale event of the last weekend at Skipton (North of Yorkshire) You can find what about here.

Because for me was impossible to be there as I am not in the UK, it was so lovely to see all your photos, all those colors, yarns, people....everything was so lovely and reading all the words that you all have used to describe the way you have experienced the event, has made me feel as if I was there.

PONCHO

Hi there!!
Hope you all are having a nice time and a good beginning of Autumn. I don't know about you, but I do love Autumn, the colors on this season, the smells... I don't know, there is something special about it. 

After Summer and all the time outdoors, now with the temperatures going down a bit more everyday  and the days getting a bit shorter too, you feel like going for a morning walks to the woods and cozy afternoons/evenings indoors, maybe grabbing some yarn and starting some crochet projects.
And that's what I did a few days ago and....

I made this little poncho for my little girl, is really easy to make  but at the same time enjoyable.

She is not used to wear it so first, we are gonna need some time to practice hehe....

She looks beautiful, I know I am her mum...but I can't help it hahaha....my beautiful little girl...

Anyway, this has been my first crochet Autumn project, more it will be coming soon, by now, what about you, any Autumnal crochet projects??

SPRING

Hi to everybody, hope you all are well.

Can you smell the spring in the air??
Here today is grey and the forecast says that is going to rain for at least three days, but is not very cold and to be honest is a very welcomed rain.

But this last weekend has been sunny and quite mild, you could almost smell the spring in the air so...we have enjoyed a couple of nice walks.

In this weather it's very typical to feel warm during the day and more cold during the evenings. For that I thought to crochet a shawl, it's perfect for cool evenings.

I started this one first the beginning is a half granny square and then just carry on, it's so easy to do and it grows so quick.

It is so quick that I made another one :)

I did enjoy making them. On this one I chose purple which is my favorite color and black because I think that they match so well.

And that has been my week, this one that we are starting today is gonna be a bit more grey so...I will crochet more if I can :)
